Review
In 1981 English guitarist Adrian Legg, since known for his excellence in acoustic fingerstyle guitar, published a book that paved the way for modding (modifying) electric guitars. Through a combination of changing standard electronic hardware - pickups, pickup switching, tone capacitors, and volume and tone pots (potentiometers) - readers could experience new sounds from their "axe" (slang for electric guitar) or get a sound closer to their chosed guitar hero.
Once a cottage industry, guitar modding is now big business.
