More to come. Not much depth; makes me think of those new releases you see at airport magazine stands. Some quirky ideas but makes me think the author has studied widely in Change Management Theory but has not led a significant Change Project (e.g. corporate, public service, public sector; 1000 or more pax). And there seems to be plenty of references to "How about inviting me to your next conference?" peppered through the text. I'm in a rush on someone else's computer as I write so I'll get back to this one.

Like the book I read Aboriginal Australians : First Nations of an Ancient Continent this book has been written by an anthropologist from outside the nation they are studying; but, despite its age, I found very enlightening. I learned many things about Māori history and culture that I was completely unaware of; especially of their lives before and after British Invasion. I wish we'd been taught us about this sort of thing in school...

Set all the tone controls to zero on the target channel. Turn on your neck pickup only and pick at the open low-E. Turn the Bass knob up until the sound "comes alive;" you'll know what I mean when you hear it. Turn your selector to both pickups, and pick and open D string. Turn the Mid knob up until the sound comes alive. Turn the selector to the bridge pickup and pick an open high-E. Turn up the Treble knob until the sound comes alive. Then start playing with the interaction between the different gain stages. I have a few guitars that are similar enough on this EQ setup that I can leave it halfway between the two and then get similar enough tone playing live. I also learned to use the EQ/scoop only for certain things - mostly when the guitar has to pop into the background and let the vocals or other instruments breathe, or if I'm going for a real Rectifier over-the-top punk/metal sound. Good luck - Boogies set up properly are peerless in their versatility and character, but they are complicated Jr ###
