When I worked for ABC Radio in the 1980s and 1990s it was going through major technological changes. TV moved from film-based projection to analogue video tape in the 1980s. Then radio began the transition from analogue content capture, links and transmission, to digital audio. That meant once a recording was captured the editing and duplication on digital could take a matter of seconds or minutes, when it used to take hours or even days. And I was helping to introduce it. So the trainer needed training and Laird was one of the books I was given to read. I got my copy, of the second edition, around 2006.
