Library Redux 2019

It's now 2019 and almost 5 years since I tested this blog. Back then I was still becoming familiar with the medium and other online tools, like cloud storage. I also have a Wordpress site dedicated to an overview and review of one of my guitar amps - the Fender '93 Super Amp - that has been repurposed from a reflection of some of the textbooks that I have read since I started my postgraduate studies in communications.
In the years since I first used and reused this site I've deleted most of my social media accounts due to safety and privacy concerns; broken and bought a number of PCs; started using cloud services for Standard Office Environment software as a service, and for online storage; bought and used Network Attached Storage for file server and media server purposes; and bought a Macbook that I've used for this post.
Today the Google corporation reminded me that I still had this blog site available through making available some features to do with search indexing. Since I stopped using the Wordpress site for my library and reading review, and since I could do with a reminder of what I've read, I've decided to repurpose this site for that role.
The Endnote library I had is now in cold storage because the Toshiba laptop it was on is now replacement parts in other recycled PCs. I do have four folios of handwritten notes on text books I've read since 2006: this blog will help me bring some of these to a more accessible format. I will use Worldcat to identify the books and use the APA style for bibliographic notes.
Most of the books that are in my library have been bought from second-hand book stores and recycling stores (thrift shops). The sad fact is that many books, especially text books, are cheaper to purchase secondhand than a daily newspaper is to buy...
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on any of my book research. This is not a formal research project; it is simply to keep track of what I have read from a growing library of books and an open curiosity of many subjects. I would like to show my respect and Acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and First Peoples of the Land on which this research and dialogue takes place.
