Weber's hip amp book: Gerald Weber (Kendrick Amplifiers) has written a number of books on restoring and modifying guitar amps; but this one appealed to me the most.
It is the most dog-eared book in my collection of music and guitar related books; it is always next to my chair (along with a couple of collections of A4 schematic copies) for handy reference. There are tons of notes in the front and back covers and into the back pages. The only other music gear related books that have got such treatment from me are by Darr and by Legg, and my anthology of Rolling Stones songs where I have noted various tunings of guitars and other stringed folk instruments.
I have quite a collection of guitar history and production books: so watch this space!
